How the work gets done.
The three services at Pendula cover the most common and meaningful points of care that watches require: the wearing interface (strap and bracelet), the regularity of attention for a collection, and the more involved work of bringing an older piece back to stable condition. They're not grouped arbitrarily — they represent the areas where considered, consistent work makes the biggest difference over time.
Every service begins with an assessment. Nothing is quoted until the condition of the piece is understood. Nothing starts until the scope is agreed. The sequence is the same whether the visit is for a ten-minute strap fitting or a three-month restoration — assessment, agreement, work, review.
01 · Service One
Strap & Bracelet Fitting
Sizing, link adjustment and fitting of leather, rubber or metal straps, with spring-bar replacement where needed. A short visit that improves comfort and daily wear. The strap or bracelet is the most-handled part of any watch — the part in contact with the wrist, affected by sweat, heat, and daily movement. Keeping it in good condition and properly fitted makes a noticeable difference to how a watch sits and wears.

02 · Service Two
Collection Care Plan
A scheduled rotation that keeps several watches wound, checked and lightly serviced across the year. Designed for owners of small collections who prefer steady, planned upkeep. Watches that aren't worn regularly — or that rotate through a collection — benefit from structured attention. The collection care plan provides that structure without requiring the owner to track it themselves.
What's included
- Annual schedule set at the start — agreed intervals throughout the year
- Winding and mainspring tension check for mechanical pieces
- Visual inspection for case wear, crystal condition, and crown function
- Light external cleaning at each scheduled visit
- Written condition notes passed to owner after each session

03 · Service Three
Vintage Restoration
Gentle, reversible work on older timepieces, including dial care and sympathetic case refinishing that respects original character. Ideal for inherited or collected pieces where preservation matters. The aim of this service is not to make a vintage watch look new, but to stabilise it — to arrest deterioration and allow the piece to be worn or kept without further degradation of what makes it worth keeping in the first place.

- Thorough initial assessment with written condition report
- Dial care — cleaning and stabilisation where appropriate, no refinishing without consent
- Sympathetic case refinishing that preserves original shape and character
- Crystal assessment and replacement with period-appropriate type where needed
- Before-and-after condition documentation returned with the piece
